Aeration
Hollow tine aeration has many benefits for your lawn. It alleviates compaction in the soil allowing oxygen into the root zone, which in turn stimulates root growth and enhances the activity of thatch-decomposing organisms. While removing the cores of soil, the tines also sever roots, rhizomes and stolons, promoting new growth and improving the overall health of the lawn.
Scarification
This process is used to remove the buildup of thatch and moss in the lawn. We use a machine with a set of rotating swing blades which claw out the matter and cut stolons in the process. This allows better access for sunlight and airflow whilst improving drainage. Cutting the stollens encourages the development of new shoots to grow, creating a thicker lusher lawn.
Moss Control
Iron sulphate is applied to the lawn in autum/winter giving a deep green colour whilst hardening the plant through the cold wet weather. This treatment also dehydrates the moss.
Insecticide
Unfortunately, lawns can fall victim to infestations of incest’s. The two common species are chafer grubs and leather jackets. At Greentec we have a specialist treatment to tackle the problem and eradicate the pest.
Fungicide
We apply fungicide treatments when necessary to prevent any diseases including red thread and fusarium.
Lawn Renovation
Lawn renovation is a process whereby the lawn is stripped back to the bare soil and specialist processes are applied to help achieve a thick, weed free green lawn.
